NYC Theatrical Premieres (Copy)

WRONG SIDE OF THE LENS - (IRL) SERIES PREMIERES

SOLD OUT - Tuesday September 19th 7pm @ Anthology Film Archives NYC - SOLD OUT

TICKETS for: Friday September 29th 7pm @Anthology Film Archives NYC

On Sept. 19th and Oct. 5th, we’ll be…

debuting, in real life, at a classic NYC theater, a portion of this massive series on the lives of street photographers. In Wrong Side Of The Lens, we get a rare chance to turn the camera back on the photographers and understand some of why they’re obsessed with taking images of complete strangers. This is a relatively new, and often misunderstood, art form which leaves ample room to push boundaries. This series captures many of these moments.

If you missed the first premiere, here’s your shot at redemption. On Thursday, October 5th, we’re back at the lovely Anthology! We’ll be debuting Daniel Arnold’s full film as well as a compilation of the other 18 artists’ episodes. There will be a reception beforehand and a Q&A following the films.

On Sept. 19th….

we sold out the Anthology theater on the first NYC premiere. Anticipation to lay eyeballs on the films was palpable during the free dink reception. We premiered a 30 minute super-cut of the 18 photographers’ episodes as well as the full 30 minute film on Jill Freedman, who was one of the most prolific in the biz. The Q&A with some of Jill’s people and the other NYC based photograhers kept the convo going as we dug deep into this strange art form. It was a night to remember.
